“If one can, anyone can, all you gotta do is try.”

Initiatives in Arts and Culture is deeply saddened by the passing of Faith Ringgold, a superb American multi-media artist perhaps best known for her narrative quilts. Today, during Passover, we honor her profound commitment to social change and communicating her convictions, messages made manifest in her artistic, educational, and activist work. We were honored to have her participate in our American Art Conference in 2021 at a special session hosted by ACA Galleries in which Dorian Bergen and Matthew Baigell participated.

We remember her fondly and strive to carry on the work.
