IAC was pleased to be involved in this meeting of People and Mining, in which panelists considered iconic historic and contemporary artistic works relating to mining in a wide range of media and discussed how artworks have powerfully influenced and continue to shape perceptions of and attitudes toward mining practice and communities: art is an important vehicle for valorization or vilification of mining.
