Better Without Mercury

Better Without Mercury (@betterwithoutmercury) is a fundraising campaign to remove mercury contamination and rehabilitate previously contaminated land at La Fortaleza, an artisanal gold mine in Colombia. IAC continues to champion Better Without Mercury and the work that has been accomplished by La Fortaleza since its inception. We salute them for maintaining purpose and ask you to join us in supporting their transformational efforts for 2024.

Gratitude

We are grateful for the food and nourishment we have and encourage all at this time of thanksgiving to bear in mind the second UN Sustainable Development Goal: to create a world free of hunger by 2030. Hunger and food insecurity have increased alarmingly since 2015, a trend exacerbated by the pandemic, conflict, climate change, and deepening inequality. Responsible Practice and the Work of Giovanni Corvaja

“Fewer, better things” (in the words of Glenn Adamson), an approach consonant with UN Sustainable Development Goal 12, “responsible consumption and production” and embodied the work of Giovanni Corvaja. From these conversations came the idea of “master classes,” and it could be said that each discussion with him was one. We extend heartfelt sympathy and a

On Veteran’s Day

With gratitude for all who serve, we petition for peace. “True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.”—Arthur Ashe "In war, there are no unwounded soldiers."—José Narosky
